1st Halloween

OK, so we didn't really celebrate on Halloween day, but she'll never know the difference. If you want to know details of what Lila wants for Christmas and how you can make her first Christmas a little easier on us parents, see below the Halloween pictures.

First, we swung by Grandma and Grandpa's house to let them check out Lila in her costume.

Then we went to Gran and Poppie's house for dinner, and we also took a few more pictures of Lila in her costume.

I can't wait until she's old enough to trick-or-treat!!

OK, on to Christmas...Lila has a wish list at Target.com. Click the link to see what she wants. You do not have to order any of these things online, and you don't have to buy them at Target. If you find a similar toy at a different store and want to buy it, feel free. Buy whatever your heart desires...it does not have to be on the list. This is just to give you ideas. Please let us know what you are buying for Lila. We are very grateful for everything everyone does and how much everyone loves Lila, but it would make it so much easier on us if we aren't kept in the dark about what her gifts will be. This way we don't have to worry about receiving ten pairs of size twelve month pajamas and three Tickle Me Elmo's. Also, I thought I'd mention a few things Lila really doesn't need, just in case some of you are already starting your shopping.

Lila does not need:
  • Baby's 1st Christmas ornament (I really want to pick my own)
  • many, if any, twelve month outfits
  • fancy dresses (Lila has yet to wear a fancy dress, other than to have her portrait taken one time...two very pretty summer dresses that she has way outgrown still have their tags on them...I'd rather have something she can get some use out of....nothing that requires tights please)
  • clothing from Gymboree; it's way too expensive even if it's on sale, and you can get more for your money at other stores (like J.C. Penney) considering she doesn't get to wear anything too long anyway
  • summer clothes for next year (we bought plenty when last summer's stuff went on sale)
  • a Glo Worm, stackable toy, baby piano (we've already bought these for her for Christmas)
  • blankets
I'll add things as I buy them for her, and I'll add things to the wish list as I think of them. If I don't hear anything from anyone, I'll assume that no one is shopping yet and that I can buy anything on the list for her that I want. Now get to shopping :) !
